Question by the Ol’ Foolosifer: WHAT IS YOUR FREEDOM WORTH?
What is Freedom and liberty worth to you?
It looks as if Congress and our illustrious President think it is worth $ 20 a week for as long as your job lasts!
I just read the headlines in the news and it is stated that if the stimulus?? passes it will mean about twenty dollars extra a week on your paycheck. Ordinarily, this wouldn’t be a bad thing, but in today’s economy, especially with manufacturing mostly heading south and west beyond our borders, to Mexico, India, Pakistan and China, how long will you have a job, unless you work in the office, in local sales or such.
For the many, who push wires, screw, bolt and glue on the assembly line, each day might be their last, because of the cheaper wages overseas. I’m sure there are some manufacturers that are patriotic enough that they will try to stay and will get a few concessions but they will only employ a few hundred. The rest are left standing!
If it came down to passing this spending bill, stimulus for that twenty dollars a week and shortly after wards watching our country go bankrupt and turn into a socialists nation anyway because of no jobs, or holding on to your freedom and liberty, Which will you choose?

And they are shouting ‘Buy American’ !! Where can we find an American T.V., clothes and in many cases American grown food, Not at WalMart? If we buy only American made clothes, in a very short time we will be “Nude America”!
AJ, that is fine for the young, but there are more older people who the military won’t take.
Andy, back years ago I did just that, laid my life on the line in combat!
Yes, Old Goat, we think alike on a lot of subjects.
Oh Nooo, If you died you wouldn’t hold your freedom but you might have insured that another would be free, and for that I commend you. There are so few today that would step into harms way.
Papi, fighting after they start taking it away is only natural, but usually a lost cause, unless you’ve been fighting to keep them from starting to take it.
Weasel, You are correct, liberty is a gem of so great a price that it can’t be bought except with our blood and guts.
Whitehouse, 50 years ago I enlisted in the U.S.M.C. Am I too old to go back in?
You are right about the D.C. comedians. They can’t tell a decent joke!
Linda K, that is the point I was trying to make, We need to stop this ignorant bill and get the nation back to work to heal the economy instead of putting a band aid on it.
Herald, So right, in your approach to business practices. And your last line is what I was implying.
I’m sorry you feel that way Ben, because I have many friends in Canada that feel just the opposite. And if the visions of the World Bank comes true, we will all be the same country.
You need to lighten up a little and lose the anger. It is not healthy !
Amen, Rooster, Amen!
Dr, Awkward, Spoken like a patriot. Our forefathers are smiling.
Allsrh, I must compliment you. You sound like a orgiginal Constitutionalists.
Bladespiner, I can’t agree more, that every loyal American should be in a grass roots group. But it should be one that will work hard to bring the U.S. back to 1787 ideology, not 2009.
John, Individual freedom is but an apple on a tree, national freedom is the tree whereon the apple grows. When the fruit ripens it falls away and is free from the source but unless the seed germinates, when the apple rots, it has done nothing.
Madeamove, I may have fought beside your brothers in ‘Nam. If a thing is not worth fighting for, one does not need it. If one is willing to let others fight, when he can fight also, so he may have it, he is not worthy of holding it.
Freedom is a fragile thing which can die if not nurtured and maintained.
For those of us who are still fighting the good fight for the right to stay free, we must seek others with like mind and join in the group for strength. If you need a good group check this site! www.grassfire.org, the patriotic resistance. We have chapters in most states.
Blue lotus, I understand what you are saying, but many religious organizations are as bad as those who are the oppressors. You are Christian, but as we can see by the world today, the Muslim radical wants only his brand in the world.
Freedom may be granted by God but it is won by man and an idea, for even an atheist can have freedom and fight for it as well as any other.
But you are right in that man made things are temporary.
Yes, our children are the future and the future, though it be unknown will still be an adventure if allowed to unfurl naturally without the hand of greed and corruption. What that future holds is up to us today and it depends entirely on our actions whether our grandchildren live free or die beneath the oppressive thumb of tyranny. With many of the attitudes which have been displayed by some of the people in the open internet forums I’ve visited, our future looks dim, for they see, act , react, and then think, in that order, and when things mess up, they tend to place the blame on others. People, it is up to us to take this country in the direction it must go and only we can guide it that way, so please, get up from in front of your computer, turn off the TV and work for our freedom and liberty. Go to your neighbors, talk to the city and county leaders, your state reps, any one that has the vote, and help preserve our Right to live free.
Am I running for president? No, but only because of age, backing and money. I am a poor man, and my wealth is knowledge and faith in common sense. I have not an education in politics or finance. I have never owned a business but have managed them back into the black. But I will help anyone who holds my beliefs in America and for the good of the American people, in any way possible to attain that office. If asked to run, with the proper backing and force of power, then even in my old age, I would say ,YES, will, but only for one term. I do not want the power nor money, except what I need to exist. And I would probably be one of the most hated of all the past holders, because I am honest and speak my mind, no holds barred. A true patriot does not fight for position, but for the good of all and asks for nothing in return but life, liberty, truth and freedom, with the strength of the CONSTITUTION always backing him or her!
The things the Constitution grants may not be there if the country goes very far down this road it is on, toward Socialism. You have heard O baa ma say the Constitution is flawed! To me that is code talk for let’s change it for the opposite and the opposite is not freedom but serfdom at best and slavery in the worse case. If you are looking for an American TV, you’ll have to go back more than 15 years. There hasn’t been one made since the late ’60′s. For a while in the ’70′s you could buy a Zenith made in Canada, but by the late ’80′s they went slant eye.
And if a persons principles are worth more than freedom and liberty, all I can say is, you sure have a low esteem, for without individual and national freedom and liberty none of us have anything and don’t deserve anything.
I’ll let this stay a while longer. Here is a web sight that you all should see. I’ve sent it out to several of my network but I believe every American should know this.

http://civ.org/ni/newlog.phpl_v3

The link don’t work. Check the question; ‘How much do you know about the United States and the Constitution? I starred it.
No, Doc, liberty and freedom are not about money or business. Freedom and liberty is about the people not being abused by a government and led to believe it cares about them. The government is a corporation which has taken over and is trying to take our freedom away. If you think money means freedom and liberty, I feel so sorry for you, because you have fallen into the grasp of the enemy, which is our greedy overlords. No, I am not misinformed, my friend, not by a long shot!

Answer by ajmustee
Sad but true. I think that the economy will bounce back and things will get better sooner or later. If you can’t find a job, join the military or something.

In the last Korean War, the U.S. sacrificed thousands of young American lives and provided 90% of the air and ground forces at the U.N.’s request. Then America poured Hundreds of Billions of dollars into the Korean economy and shared priceless American technology.

South Korea EXISTS today because America defended it!
South Korea is DEVELOPED today because America aided it!

And how has South Korea repaid it’s HUGE debt to America???
With Korean “rap” songs saying “Fuck America”! With Korean college students potesting and attacking American military personel! By banning American beef. By refusing to sign Free Trade Agreements. By cowardly pulling out of Afghanistan in obedience to the Taliban!

So can anyone explain to me why we should defend these ungrateful vermin?
I say let North and South Koreans slaughter each other…. the world will be a better place without them both!

MediSTAT currently reports on over 70 countries in more than 4,000 pages of in-depth market data. Incorporating primary source material with Espicom’s vast healthcare business database, MediSTAT provides a complete review of key medical markets. Each extensive report includes vital market data, background information and statistics, population trends, health status, health expenditure, organisation & administration, hospital services, medical personnel, healthcare development, import & export figures and essential industry contacts.

Peru is often overlooked when discussing the rapid-growth economies of South America. While it has neither the size nor the wealth of Brazil or Argentina, the country has a population which will exceed 30 million in the next few years, and has recorded strong economic growth for much of the 1990s. Per capita wealth has risen, especially in and around Lima. This has led to the emergence of a sizeable urban population which demands improved healthcare, and increasingly has the ability to pay for it.

Question by Jose E: Why has the US lost its manufacturing sector?
I know an obvious answer is that those jobs have gone to nations with lower wages. But how have Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan managed to keep those industries while having high wages and standards of life? Why dont any American companies produce things such LCD televisions, cell phones, (exclude the iphone), digital cameras, and such? I would love to see our nations companies stay here and provide jobs here. I want to see high tech comsumer products with “Made in America” logos. I am concerned about our economy and the potential demise in research and development traditionally done here.
I know we lost labor-intensive manufacturing, such as cheap plastic toys, to china, but that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about comsumer level tech products, in which the nations above lead. I fear that the capital that we send there when we buy these products allows them to do better research and eventually develop even more high technology. Eventually they may produce products that are more knowledge-intensive and capital-intensive, such as jet-engines and computer chips. Then we would have lost all manufacturing.

I think this production problem will be further aggrivated by not allowing immigration into this nation. In the past, these low paid workers have allowed products made in the US to be priced a bit more competitive.

Best answer:

Answer by nerfy
ha! everyone is concerned that is why there are ‘recession’ headlines on all the major news sites. the only way we could get manufacturing back is to get american workers to accept lower wages and not be unionized – however the end result would be higher price tags for tech items- companies have to make up for insurance and pensions etc. i am not sure if Japan does that for their employees – most likely not.

Question by barracuda: When will China knock off Kim Jong-Il?
You have to imagine he’s bad for business.

You also have to imagine that no one takes him seriously.

So, either it’ll be China or “Team America” that will be going to take him out, followed shortly by reunification.

I don’t care about what the South says, I’ve heard the economy isn’t even really that great there. Reunification might not be as bad as it’s made out to be.

Best answer:

Answer by Wil H
excellent thought. I was thinking the same thing. They won’t tolerate him too much longer.
